Nature and Art: Capturing Watkins Glen in Watercolors
BRUSHWORK: A Weekend Study; Upstate NY Edition
🌲 From hike to canvas.
This weekend’s focus was an ink and watercolor study drawn from a photo I took while hiking Watkins Glen in early fall. The stone bridge and layered rock wall offered a rich mix of texture and structure–a quiet challenge in translating detail through brush and wash. The piece is still in progress, with more greens to come, but the interplay of natural and built elements is already taking shape.
