Designing a Centennial Keepsake for York Chapel
Honoring 100 Years: The York Chapel Centennial Ornament
🕊️ A Treasured Scene in Pewter Ornament: a Keystone Specialties Inc. project.
This year, York Chapel in Tennessee celebrates its 100th anniversary—and I had the honor of designing a commemorative ornament to mark the occasion. Commissioned through Keystone Specialties’ Treasured Scenes® collection, the cast pewter ornament captures the spirit and architecture of the chapel in a timeless keepsake.

🎨 Design Process
The journey began with a reference photo provided by the client. I hand-drew the chapel illustration, then scanned and vectored it in CorelDRAW. From there, I created the layout to reflect the pewter casting style, using four carefully selected color fills: dark gray for depth, brick red for the chapel’s facade, stone gray for architectural accents, and green to highlight the surrounding landscape.
The back of the ornament is engraved with:
York Chapel, Centennial Anniversary, 1925–2025
This piece is more than a memento—it’s a celebration of faith, community, and history. I’m proud to help preserve this landmark in a form that families and congregants can hold onto for generations.
